1. No one is immune. Cyber attacks will only continue. How you prepare will determine how well you handle the incident. Don’t ignore the threats and don’t bury your head in the sand.  When we mean “no one”, we really mean it; age, company size, who you are doesn’t matter, cyber attacks do not discriminate.
2. Make three plans a priority. A Business Continuity Plan, Disaster Recovery Plan, and an Incident Response Plan. From a personal perspective, you should always have back up plans if something happens. Keep your computer updated and be vigilant about emails and websites that you know nothing about.
3. Cyber is not solely a technical problem, it is a whole-company issue. This goes equally for individuals. There are no magic bullets in security tools (technical) that you can place on your computer to keep you safe, you must learn how to properly use your computer and be able to spot potential threats to avoid falling into their traps.
